#Wait for a clear day. If you do the quest on a day that it is raining, then it is harder to see the fish struggling in the water so you cant predict its movements. Wait for a clear day so you can see where the fish is moving.
#Catch him. With the new rod, I caught the Liege on the 1st try, with 200 durability left. Took me 25 minutes, but I got it. You are rewarded with the [[Big Blaze MahamutBahamut]] lure, which attracts most fishes and if the line snaps while the lure is on, it will come back to you. The Liege that I caught was around 180 pounds, 82 inches.
*To ensure that your line lasts as long as possible, turn ON controller vibration. When the controller stops vibrating, that is the perfect time to reel. You will usually have a 1-3 second window of time where the fish will not struggle. If you reel while the fish is struggling, then it will lower your sustainability. Also be PATIENT. If you rush, there is a higher chance you will lose.
