1 - Travel to Lestallum where you should have a quest from a npc named Randolph available. He is a smith who will forge the "Legendary Weapons". Randolph will send you on 5 quests to kill a 55, 65, 75, 85, and 99 lvl enemy. Each time you complete the quest you will receive a ton of exp and 1 great weapon (totaling 5 in all). You are able to complete all of these on EASY mode with the help of unlimited re-spawns and your L2 Titan friends assistance (if you want to cheese). I was able to complete the 99 at lvl 46 but it was quite excruciating. Creating some max spells with additional additives can really help!

2 - Travel to Altissia and take the purple line to the Arena. This is a particularly good method to get 2 great weapons pretty early on! What you’re after here weapon wise is the Precision Lance and the Enforcer (gun). These won’t take long to acquire from betting on monster fights and will help boost either you and/or your party damage overall. The Arena is very easy if you follow some basics. 1 - Start with buying only 100 medals, now bet 50 of those medals on your first fight. 2 - Bet on groups of monsters over single monsters if the level is close enough (not 10 above). 3 - If it’s a 1v1 pick the monster with the higher level, if it’s 1-2 levels off pick the one with the better condition. 4 - TIME YOUR HEAL! This is a big one! Save your first heal to after you take a first hit, and spam the life out of your controller when you need that 2nd or 3rd heal! This is the key to winning fights with 8-10x odds and getting 100k+ wins. 5 - Always bet the max when you get around 20-30k+ You’ll find you win a lot more than you lose and you’ll be able to rack up medals a lot faster. Farming the weapons shouldn’t take longer than 30 minutes or so. I was able to farm 1mi in medals in about an hour using these simple guidelines.

3 - The best weapons in the game come from the locked doors within dungeons. I call these [[Endgame Dungeons]] and they require you to have a key to access and complete. These contain the best weapons in the game. To access them you'll need to complete the main story, and complete [[Crestholm Channels]], [[Balouve Mines]], [[Costlemark Tower]], and [[Daurell Caverns]]. Many guides say you need to complete all of the dungeons but outside of the main story these should be all you need for the quest to appear from Ezma at the Meldacio Hunter HQ. You will receive 9 quests all entitled "A Menace Sleeps in X" whatever dungeon it's in. These are levels 55, 65, 65, 72, 78, 86, 92, and 99. You aren't able to complete these in EASY mode so if you wipe you'll die no matter what. In my opinion it was well worth cheesing what can be cheesed to save all the gil and items for this (the most challenging part of the game). The final 99 mega boss in Costlemark is items disabled and is the hardest challenge in the game by far. Complete them all and you'll receive a Hunter's Medal - something able to be used for the best spells and maybe more?

These will be the best weapons outside of what you will find in the Endgame Dungeons. They set your party up to be able to complete those elite dungeons as well. (The secret locked dungeons that are behind the lock doors you might have seen).
