*If you think/see that the fish might turn, do not angle your control stick all the way to the right/left. Angle it diagonally up so that if the fish changes directions, you have a faster time to change the direction of your rod too.
*If you have slow reflexes, when you're trying to reel in the higher level fishes and they keep turning like crazy, you can pause the game and reposition the left stick so you can minimize the amount of damage being done to your line.
*Once you've hooked a fish, there are only three things you need to do to land pretty much any fish in the game:
*#Follow the fish's swimming direction (observe the camera movement if you can't see the fish).
*#Avoid reeling (R2) when line tension is in the red.
*#Avoid reeling when your controller is vibrating. Alternatively, listen for a splashing sound/visual, and avoid reeling when the fish is splashing/struggling.
